  Day 1: Arival Luangprabang
  Fly to Luangprabang from Vientiane/ Bangkok, or Chiangmai Transfer to hotel, then City sightseeing tour of World Heritage listed Luangprabang to include old royal temples: Wat Visoun and That Makmo water melon stupa, with a large Buddha statue and many ancient wooden and bronze Buddha images collected from the ruins of temples in northern Laos. Visit the most beautiful temple in the city with its classical mosaic decoration at Wat Xieng Thong. Absorb the scenery overlooking the heart of the city from Phousi Hill then enjoy shopping at the lively street evening market at Sisavang Vong Road. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 2: Luangprabang - Pak Ou Cave
  Transfer to the pier for boat trip on the Mekong River to visit Tamting / Pak Ou cave with thousands of antique Buddha images. On return, stop to visit Ban Sanghai local rice whisky distillation village and ancient pottery village. Drive to visit Ban Phanom Tai Lu hand weaving village and Sa paper maker at Ban Xieng Leck. Free leisure time to experience the old town. Overnight at the hotel.
pakou Day 3: Luangprabang - Kuangsi waterfall
  Drive 30km south of Luangprabang to visit Tad Kuangsi waterfall deep in the forest. Then visit local villages of: Lao Loum, Lao Kang and Lao Soung (the three main ethnic groups of Lao). Picnic lunch On return to Luangprabang, free time to shop and wander. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 4: Luangprabang - Departure
 

Early morning to join or just watch local people for Tak Bat (alms giving to local monks) as part of the ancient culture. Visit to the former Royal Palace which is now the National Museum including gifts to the Royals. Transfer to Luangprabang airport for flight to next destination

Nam Ha forest Camp

  Day 1: Luang Namtha Camp
  Depart Luang Namtha by tuk tuk driving north into the Nam Ha protected Area. Meet our village guides/forest interpreters at Nammat Kao village. Hike into the mountains of Nam Ha, taking time to learn about plants and animals. Collect wild herbs and vegetables for dinner. Cook over open fire with Khmu hosts. Fall asleep to the sounds of the forest
Day 2: Akha village
  Wake up early to watch the sunrise from atop the mountain above the camp. Explore nearby forests or help village cooks prepare breakfast. Learn how to make bird calls. Depart on a moderate walk through the Nam Ha jungle. Arrive at Nammat Mai village (Akha ethnic group). Tour the village or just relax and enjoy the simplicity of Akha village life. Share a meal of fresh organic foods with village hosts. Relieve your body’s aches with traditional Akha massage. Retire to the village lodge for a good night’s rest.
  Day 3 : Return to Luangnamtha
 

Descend from the Nam Ha mountains through colorful forests, catching spectacular views of Luang Namtha. Arrive in Luang Namtha by foot, following the same path used daily by villagers taking their forest products and crafts to market

Accommodation & food
- Lodges with common rooms, one for men and one for women
- Common bathroom facilities available, bathing in nearby stream
- Local Lao cuisine. Typical meal includes chicken, soup, sticky rice, vegetables and chili. Vegetarian food is available upon request.

Level of Difficulty & Safety Moderate-Difficult: Hiking in the Nam NPA is moderately difficult, with some uphill climbs involved. Trekkers must be in good shape.

What to Bring 1-2 changes of clothes, sandals for village, good shoes for hiking, sarong for bathing (required for women), mosquito repellent, flashlight, sunscreen/hat, camera, money to purchase handicrafts. Please wear pants and shirt with sleeves during the trek.
